I’ve been putting together the latest Totley AC magazine and the subject of your favourite running picture from last year has come up. As the editor of the magazine, I’ve apologise to the readers in advance for the self-indulgence, but I couldn’t possibly produce the new Totley AC magazine without including a little bit about what could quite possibly be the crowning achievement of my running career. Due to a fluke of Colin’s mysterious runner’s handicap system coupled with a sheer, bloody-minded determination from me to give it my best shot, I only went and won the Colin’s Handicap men’s race 2019. Sadly, the shield seems to keep mysteriously disappearing from the mantelpiece and I keep finding it stashed in increasingly difficult-to-find and obscure places.
